Scrap Much sketches!

Good evening!
Here are a couple of pages I did this afternoon for the sketches at Scrap Much?!

With this sketch:

And here is my second page:

Using this sketch:

NOW I think I'm done for the day...maybe...

Have a great evening!!!

Bright Smiles

While I sit here, staring out at the snow, I was in the mood to do a bright, sunny page.

I can't believe these babies are now 22 and 11!!

Here is the sketch from Paper Secrets that I worked with:

Have a great day!!!

Field Museum

Here is my take on the sketch at Sketch N Scrap:

I used a few scraps of patterned papers and a strip of corrugated.  I used a very dark gray mist on the corrugated piece.
Have I mentioned how much I love these alphas from Amy Tangerine??

Here is the original sketch:

A Lesson in History

Hi again!  I spent the morning working on a recipe challenge from The Paper Mixing Bowl.

Here is my page:

And here is the recipe:

For my page, I used some layering.  I layered some brochures and some maps from the outing in a page pocket.
I used "twos"...sets of two buttons randomly and a couple of cute vintage keys.
I fussy cut some postcards from patterned papers, distressed the edges and inked them for the "You've Got Mail" ingredient.
I "accidentally" spilled some ink on the background paper.  This is the first time I tried this.  I held the paper up slightly and let it run down the page.  FUN!
And of course, multi-photos made their way on the layout.

This was so fun!  And I was able to use many pictures AND the information for the whole trip on ONE page!

Have a great day!

Meeting Ranger Rick

I love that my kids are nature nuts.  We took them on an awesome Summer adventure last year.  They had to hike a mile, take part in some nature inspired activities, participate in a scavenger hunt and look for animals.  We had a blast!
At the end, they each earned their nature badges and were given their Forest Preserve Passports.

My favorite part was, of course, getting to meet Ranger Rick!  The kids get his magazine in the mail and it was so fun finally getting to meet him!

Here is the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy that I used:

I used some Coredinations paper for the background and sanded it a bit.
And I love these alphas from Amy Tangerine!

Have a great day!!

Late night pages...

Good Morning!  It was quite a late night last night...My daughter had a few friends over for a sleepover and boy, were they LOUD!  The best way to make use of a sleepness night was to sit and my desk and work on more pages.  :)

I made this one using a sketch from Paper Stories:

Here is the original sketch:

And this one is for Let's Get Sketchy:

And here is this week's sketch:

Have a great day!!  Off to get some sleep....zzzz....

Summer Fun with Pamela sketch

Good Morning!!

Here I am again with a fun Summer page using a sketch from Pamela's World of Scrap:

I love this collection of Simple Stories!
The pieces and pieces worked very well with what I had in mind for this sketch:

I have a very hard time working with 2 pagers, so I stuck with the right side of the sketch.

Some of the pieces were fussy cut from the papers and put on pop dots.
Then I hid some strips of burlap behind the big picture.
The flowers were made using my flower punch...the one I had to dust off...lol

Have a great day!!!

Family and Bo Bunny

Good Morning!
I've been working on this page for a few days now.  It's for the Bo Bunny sketch challenge.

I used the Bo Bunny Gabrielle collection.
Everything was distressed with my little Tim Holtz tool.
I fussy cut some butterflies and put them on pop dots to make them "fly".
And the title piece is laser cut chipboard from Want2Scrap.

Off to play in some snow!

Have a great day!!

Sharing some good news!!

I'm so excited to finally let you know that I am now a part of the Design Team at True XoXo Scrapbooking!

These girls are so fun and I have been having a blast just getting to know everyone!

For our 1st challenge, we had to scrap something about "Love"...mushy, gushy love.  The different takes on this challenge are so awesome!  You absolutely, MUST stop by and check them out!

Here was my take on the challenge:

Yep, I stuck with the mushy stuff.  I was able to incorporate both of my "loves"...Disney and the Hubby!

These papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found.  The laser chipboard title is from Want2Scrap.  And if you look closely, you will even find some Hidden Mickeys...in bling!

Check out what the rest of the amazing team created - https://truexoxoscrapbooking.wordpress.com/

Have a great night!!!!

Mini Me

Good afternoon!  I'm back with another layout...while I'm supposed to be doing housework.   :)

Is this a little Mini Me or what??!!  lol!
She is so like me, in so many ways, it's crazy!

Here is the sketch I used from Creative Craft World:

And now I'm off to argue with Mini Me to do her chores...while I ignore mine.

Have a great day!!!

A Pizza Party and a Sketch

Good morning!!

It's early Sunday morning...I'm doing laundry, working on a page and trying to figure out what's for dinner.

Hmmm...

Yep!  Pizza it is!!

Remember when these stickers were so popular?  I just had to have them all!  I knew I never gave them  up for a reason!

And here is the fun sketch from S.W.A.T.:

Have a great day!!!

I am Smiling!!

I love watching the gorillas at the zoo.  They are so fun...especially when they stare you down.  I'm not sure if they are giving us dirty looks, wishing we would go away...or...are they really smiling for the cameras??

I used a sketch from Sketches in Thyme for this one:

Have a great day!!

A Sketch and A Smile

HI all!

I wanted to get this page posted before my day gets crazy...

I love how this turned out!  I broke into the older stash..again!
The papers are all from K&Company.  I added a piece of chipboard from a mini album.  I painted it with a white dauber and then went over it lightly with pink ink.
The flowers are a mix of a stem I found at Michael's and some pretty Petaloo flowers.
The title is a new piece from Want2Scrap.
It's a laser cut chipboard title.  I also used the white paint dauber and pink ink on it.

Here is the sketch I used from Sketches in Thyme:

Have a great day!!

Color Me Scrappy #29 and #30

Good Morning all!  I hope everyone finds some scrapping time this weekend!  I have piled up my baskets of laundry and I am ready to go.  I have a soccer game and a basketball game and then I have the rest of the day to myself.  :)

Here is what I managed to finish up last night.
Both of these pages are for the color challenge at Color Me Scrappy.

Here is #29 -

With a twist...to use this sketch:

LOVE these gold alphas!!  I just found them at Archiver's!  And the gold coins are what the kids found at the Leprechaun Hunt Party.
Here is the color palette:

And then I put this page together:

I threaded some embroidery floss through all the buttons.  Added some older stickers and more new alphas...these are burlap!  LOVE THEM!!

Here is the color palette for this page:

And I used sketch #84 from Sketchabilities:

Now I have to start chipping away at this mountain of laundry...

Have a great day!!!

Another day of TV and Scrapping

HI all!
My hubby has me hooked on Downton Abbey...I've been watching season 1 and 2 the past few days trying to catch up!  This show is so good!
Luckily, it's all downloaded to my computer, so I can watch and scrap.  :)

I'm starting off the weekend playing with a sketch from Little Yellow Bicycle:

I broke into the LYB stash and played with my all time favorite "Paradise" collection.
I added the tiny ball trim from my own stash.

Next, I used the first February sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

While I was in the stash looking for LYB, I found these goodies!  I totally forgot I had this fun line!  I love the flowers and  butterflies.  I guess I should look through my stash more often....

And finally, I didn't use a sketch!  Wow..sooo unusual for me...
Kristi B posted a challenge this month which was QUITE difficult for me.
This one took me a while to figure out...
We were challenged to use embossing, mustaches and pennants.
Nice mix, huh??

We particpate in the Dr. Seuss reading day at Target every year.  Last year, of course, we were celebrating the Lorax.  The kids were given these fun mustaches.  They wore them all. day.long.
The background paper is from Coredinations Cardstock.  I used an embossing template and a burnishing tool to create the polka dot pattern down the left side.  And then I covered some chipboard pennant pieces and added some Thicker alphas.
I totally love this page!  I'm glad it all came together!
The FUN Dr. Seuss ribbon came from BestRibbons.  They have the CUTEST character ribbons ever!
I was able to stock up on Dr. Seuss, Superheroes and of course, DISNEY!

Hope you all had a great scrapping day!

Have a great evening!!

Home Alone?? What's that??

I cannot believe the hubby was home early enough tonight to take the kids to all their sporting stuff!  This does not happen!  I have the house to myself and I'm not sure what to do!
I was going to scrap and realized I never posted these pages from the weekend.

Let's start off with my page for the sketch challenge from Brenda at Granddiva's Creative Corner:

This page came from the box of My Mind's Eye goodies.  The die cut was buried under tons of the newer stuff.  The frames were found in a drawer.  The trims are new from Paper Secrets...o.m.g!  Are they gorgeous??!!!
Here is the sketch:

Then I finished this page for Kerys' Word Art challenge:

I dusted off a flower punch and added some newer flowers to the centers.
The letter stickers are from an Echo Park collection.
I also dusted off the tearing rulers for some fun patterned strips.
And don't miss the extra scrap of burlap up there too!
Scraps are always a good thing!

And finally...

This was a combination of the sketch challenge from Paper Secrets:

The twist was to add chevrons.  I added another scrap piece with a chevron pattern underneath the chipboard birds.   :)

And the color combo challenge from Rochelle Spears:

I found these papers also in the My Mind's Eye stash.

Now I should work on another page....before anyone gets home!

Have a great evening!!!

Super Scrapping Sunday!

I really do plan on watching the big game today....WHILE I scrap!
Here are a few that I managed to finish so far...

This page is for the newest challenge blog called About A Boy.
Since this blog is just starting out, the challenge was to introduce the Boy in your life:

And I managed to do it without a sketch!!!
I totally love all these little gears.  These papers are from the Prima Craftsman collection.
I added a few metal gears from Tim Holtz too.

And then I finally managed to finish a page I started a few days ago.  I hate it when I start a page and then halfway through I get totally stuck.  This one was quite a puzzle for me.  I tried to stick to the sketch which is from Sketchbook 365:

And this is how it ended:

I fussy cut the hexagons from some My Mind's Eye papers.  The flowers are all from the stash...with buttons in the centers.  And just as an added touch I ended some metal dragonflies.

Have a great day!!!

Inspired Blueprints #81!

So glad to see Inspired Blueprints back in action!  It's been a long time and I have really missed their inspiration.

Breaking into the older stash, I pulled these pretty pink, red and glittered papers from My Mind's Eye.

I added a bit of Stickles to the papers and the photo mats.  The butterflies are chipboard pieces from Maya Road.

Here is the original sketch:

Have a great day!!
