Still Cruising...

I was flipping through my box of pictures and found these fun pictures I had leftover from our cruise. They are professional pictures, but I really wanted them in the scrapbook somewhere. I still have others to work with too! One day I hope to finish this book....but since I won't be cruising anytime soon, I love reliving it through my pictures. :)

I started off with some inspiration from Off the Wall Craftiness. Kim posted this nautical themed color combo. I saw this and immediately thought Disney! And having these pictures at my fingertips...I was off to a great start this morning!

I chose to work with this week's sketch from Sketch Inspiration #217. These pictures just happened to be the perfect size to work with. :)

Next step....The Paper Variety challenged us to use polka dots on our project. This background paper is a combination of polka dots and little Mickey heads. :) The yellow paper is also from the Disney scrap stash from Reminisce Magic collection. :) I also added some navy blue ribbon for an accent. The circle stickers are from the same collection. :) I'm also using this for the Fabulous Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs. I love seeing all these polka dots!

The flowers are from the dollar section at Michael's and of course I had to add some buttons. My button stash is dwindling and that is NOT cool! Luckily, I have an all day scrapbook shopping trip planned for tomorrow.

The Bon Voyage piece is leftover from one of our room decorations. I ordered these decorations for the sole reason that I would be taking them apart to use as elements in the scrapbook. :)

So next week is National Scrapbook Day and that is also my daughter's First Communion! I'm so excited for her!! So instead of scrapbooking all day, I will be taking pictures all day! I'm so glad my friend is getting back into scrapping. We have an entire day planned, coupons printed, shopping lists made.....I am counting down the hours!!! In the meantime, I'm hoping to take a chunk out of the stash today...after a fun day with the kids...with more pictures...lol. :)

Have a great weekend!! I'll be back....

Some Bunny loves You

So happy to be working with Easter pictures! The biggest disappointment was running around to 3 different stores Saturday and not being able to find Easter goodies to work with. It seems that I decided to shop too late and everything was pretty well picked over. I finally found adorable papers from TPC Studios. I LOVE the pretty pastel colors! Very Easter-y! Scrap Fit's Weekend Warmup #4 was to use pastels. I was able to play with my new papers, some felt Easter Egg stickers and LOTS of buttons. :)
This fun sketch was from Sketches in Thyme. I mixed up the sizes of the pictures to fit what I needed. The fun title was made with Basic Grey chipboard letters, colored with Tombow markers.
Now that I have lots more Easter pictures to scrap, I'm off to do some online shopping. I really need to stock up on Easter supplies! :)

Mother and Son

So glad to be up early and be able to work on a page! Even on a holiday! :)

This is Sketch Challenge #16 from Get Your Sketch On. I loved all the little squares. I gives me a chance to use up some of the scraps I have been saving.
All these papers are from a beautiful kit from Colorbok. I bought this kit on clearance quite a while ago and I have certainly gotten some great mileage from it!

All of the butterflies and the title are popped up on pop dots. I love the butterflies popping off the page.

I was so glad to find a few butterflies in this kit. These were perfect for the Fabulous Friday challenge at Frosted Designs. :)

I wish I could play a little more today, but we are off to Grandma's house for Easter dinner.

Have a wonderful holiday!!! :)

Tissue paper and bling

Frosted Designs Sketch along Tuesdays!! What a fun sketch this was! I loved the way they suggested to frame the picture. I used a page from a mini chipboard album for my mat. A little bit of red and black ink to pretty it up a bit. The photo corners are leather and are from Making Memories. I think they are about 10 years old...lol.

I then mounted the whole thing on tissue paper. I used plain red paper and stamped it all up with black ink. Then it was crumpled up. I also "tried" to use decorative scissors on the edges.
The flowers were also made with some inked and crumpled tissue paper. I tried to be a little more creative with the flowers, but it just wasn't happening. But it was nothing that a little bling couldn't fix! The inspiration for all of the tissue paper is this week's challenge from My Moxie Fab World. It's all about Tissue Paper Magic!

The background paper is from My Mind's Eye. I love this whole collection. It's great that you can add any color and it all works.

All of the bling is from Prima and Basic Grey. And the giant Ruby gem is from the stash. No idea where that came from, but I was glad it was laying around!

Off to have some fun with the Easter Bunny and enjoy the great weather...finally!!! :)

Echo Park Summertime!

A little goodness is going a long way! I've been hoarding this kit from Echo Park. It's called Summertime and it's one of my favorites! I can't tell you how many times I have pulled this kit out and decided that my pictures just weren't good enough to break open the package.

Well, today was the day, I tore into it. Mainly because I have my eye on the newest collection called Splash. SOOOO cool!!! So I convinced myself that I could not buy the newest one until I used some of the old.

Sketch Inspiration sketch #216 was my starting point. This is probably one of the VERY few Disney pages I have made without using any Disney elements. I tend to hoard them too. :)

The second page was inspired by sketch #15 from Get Your Sketch On. I love the cloud and the sun in the sketch. Luckily, I still had this kit on my desk and it worked perfectly for my page. Since i used my Echo Park sun sticker for the first page, I used a wooden accent piece for the second page.

:)

Can't wait for more Summertime Inspiration!!

Happy Little Girl

Well, another day shot down because of lousy weather. I ran out to the store and couldn't get back inside fast enough. I thought it was going to be nice out! Now my cabin fever is worse!

So, once again....I am "stuck" at my desk working on more pages. I'm almost feeling the groove again.

This was such a pretty little sketch from Stuck on U Sketches. I love how feminine it looks. And since a few sites are having flower challenges, this one really worked for me. :)

This picture (don't laugh) is me at age 5....I think...it might be age 4. My mother really wasn't the best on dating older pictures. I always liked this picture. Mainly because I don't care to have my picture taken now. The inspiration for using this picture came from ScrapFit challenge #42. We had to use an older picture of ourselves on our project. I just happen to go through a few boxes a couple of weeks ago and found tons of older pictures. My kids think they are hilarious!

The flowers are from Studio 112 from Joann's. I used lots of pop dots on them for dimension. Also added a little bling to the centers of the flowers and used Prima swirl bling to tie it all together. This works well for the challenge at The Paper Variety. Last week's challenge was "'rain", so this week's challenge for "flowers" was very appropriate! The title came from a few different pieces from Kaleidoscope. They've been around forever!

Time for another quick weather check before I decide on another project.... :)

Still going....

I am so heading out to the store tonight. I still have last year's Easter pics to work on...and NO Easter goodies at all to go with my pages!

I figured I would knock out a few more of my Fall pictures instead.

This fun sketch is from Sketches in Thyme. I love that these pictures were right in my hand when I saw this sketch.

The background paper is from DCWV Rustic Stack. The title piece is from the Dollar Spot at Target. I love that I have to buy everything from there and always find a use for it all. The fun leaves are from Michael's. The bottom leaves had to be embellished a bit with a fine tip black marker to match the smaller leaf. The fun grass border strip is from a set from K&Company.

I'm afraid to say that I feel like I'm on a roll....Tomorrow could be a whole new story....

:)

Starting off slowly....

Well, due to the rainy weather, I was "forced" to stay inside today. It's seems like a million years since I looked at my scrap stuff. I've been really thinking about it lately, and I have pulled some pictures to work on. But then....when I started looking at my stash, I was sooo overwhelmed. I had no idea what to start, what papers to use, totally lost focus on what to do with embellishments.....
I decided I needed to start out slowly and work my way back into the whole process of putting pages together.

I loved this sketch from Frosted Designs! I really want to work on Spring pictures but unfortunately, the weather will not cooperate with us, so I have no pretty flower pictures yet.
But these fun Fall pictures will have to work for now.
These fun papers are from the Dollar Spot at Target from last year. Yes, I'm still chipping away at my stash. I love how the rosey pink compliments all the oranges and browns!

Scrapfit Workout #41 challenged us to use handmade flowers. I started out by using cupcake wrappers. I cut out the centers of each and used Barn Red Glimmer Mist on each of them. I punched out some circles for the centers and Stickled each one. Then I used some miscellaneous leaves to dress up the clusters a bit. The title was made from Pebbles Inc. letters....which of course had to be "doctored" up a bit since I didn't have all the right letters I needed.

Well, there is my effort for today. I really hope I can find inspiration to get more done. I really miss my hobby and my scrapping friends!!

Save it for a Rainy Day....

I am so anxious for Spring to get here! I have been really slacking in the scraproom lately. All this rain and the rising and falling temperatures really put me in a deep depression. I could barely stay awake when I got home from work. I ordered some new pictures the other day with the hopes that I would be motivated.

The Paper Variety posted a challenge that inspired me to do something with this yucky weather. This photo was our inspiration for the April Showers bring May Flowers Challenge.

How funny is it that I hate this stuff but my kids love it! My little guy just celebrated his 4th birthday and was soooo excited when he unwrapped his new raincoat and umbrella! Never mind that fact that are both from Spiderman!

My little girl is wearing her Daddy's wellingtons from when he was her age. I can't believe these were saved...lol.
I popped these photos into Photoshop and made them all black and white. Then I created layers so I could change the colors of the wellingtons and make them stand out.

And speaking of saving things for a rainy day....these papers are from Around The Block from more than 5 years ago. I really thought they were fun and knew ONE DAY I would eventually use them. So I forced myself to do a little Spring cleaning ( took me a while to find them ) and put them to use. The rub on letters for the title are from Making Memories. I managed to find the exact font that was used on the background papers!

Now I have to get outside again to get pictures of my little guy dancing in the rain...
