Spaceship Earth

Not only do I love taking pictures outside of Spaceship Earth - I get to work with the Zodiac stack from DCWV!
This is so perfect for these photos!
These papers are glittery and shimmery and shiny.
I wish I could get a better picture of the papers.

My inspiration was this sketch from My Creative Sketches:

I used a Creative Memories circle punch technique to make my background.  I also slipped in a few Hidden Mickeys too.

Always find a Photo Op

There is never a shortage of fun Photo Ops at Disney.
Especially when they have photographers every 10 feet as you approach the castle.
And every picture gets better and better, the closer you get.

Here is my page for the May 1st sketch challenge at Let's Get Sketchy.
They are also collaborating with Paper Issues this month.

And here is the original sketch:

Always Be True

Our Disney photographers are always the best!  Not only do they take great family pictures, but they always surprise us with pics like this:

This was the perfect picture to do a girly page.
I chose to use these colors to go with the White with 1 challenge - Gerbera Petal.

I also use the sketch from Rubber Buggy:

I also use a stencil and stippled pink paint to create my background.
This idea came from The Studio Challenges this month.

So happy with how this turned out!
Because this picture was taken in Disney, I had to add a few Hidden Mickeys - of course!

CSI Case # 253 - Catching Raindrops

Trying to turn a Disney page into a case file can be quite the task!

I thought I would give it a shot and try and crack CSI Case #253:

Evidence Collected:
solid background
solid cardstock (photo mats)
Stripes (patterned papers)
wonky dots (polka dot paper)
textured paper (corrugated paper)
die cuts (leaves)
hand cutting (bases and tea cups)
washi tape (yellow stripe & multi colored)
leaves and branches
jar/ vase shape ( hand cut items)
paint (splatters and circles on background)
circles (painted using a toilet paper roll)
combine colorful patterns with black and white pattern

Testimony:
I used a tag and a few scraps of paper for the "Catching Raindrops on our Tongue" phrase.

The Scheme:
Navy Blue
Turquoise
White
Marigold
Pear Green

From the inspirational file photo:

I interpreted this a as a whimsical page - which is why I chose Alice and the Mad Hatter photos.

So that's my closing statement.

I'm very happy with the way this turned out.

I hope you have a Magical Day!!

MUAH!!

I loved that we had a great photographer when we were taking these pictures.  She was so fun and we have so many great shots!

I hand stitched the Mickey head for this page.  I have seen so many great ideas and I want lots of those in my album, so I have to mix up how I handle them.

This is the sketch I used - from Sketches in Thyme #323:

The Poly Village

Here we are taking a break, deciding the next step after we check into the resort.  It was such a beautiful day, we just wanted to sit and breathe in the air and revel in the thought that we were back "home".

I used sketch #324 from Sketches in Thyme to whip out this quick page.

Our Incredible Vacation starts now!

Gotta love when you finally have a use for stickers that you just HAD to have and that have been in the drawer FOREVER!

Here is the night we started our vacation.  As you can see - none of us could sleep.  Time for some silly pics and practice with towel animals.

I used sketch #152 from Sketch N Scrap for my inspiration:
